Julia P
On January 30th 2008, a Californian woman passed away, at Granada Healthcare Center in Eureka . Her name was Julia P. She was born on June 4th, 1931 in Freshwater, California . She had 12 siblings.
Her father, Antone P. was from Stazzona – in the Province of Como in Italy, as well as her mother, Rosy (Rosa Gobbi) and as well as my italian Nonno.
Epifanio had four children, including my Nonno (grandfather) and three other girls. One of them was Julia P. and died mysteriously during the German occupation of France , when she and her Italian-Alsatian peers took refuge in Dordogne . Two clues: Magasins Modernes (Magmod) and Achille, the companion.
Other cousins are said to live in Buenos Ayres in Argentina . They are all from Statsona (the American spelling of Stazzona). The American are said to be Republican now, like George W. Bush. From here, it’s kind of embarrassing... I would like to know the exact bond I have to them though.
I’m sending out this SOS on the web, without giving the last name. However I think that we will find out some connections between all these persons in the future and that all these uncertainties will be explained. These Italian catholic ancestors were baptised in the Chiesa di San Giuliano and my Nonno, like Moses, was abandoned on the front steps of the church.
